FULL TIME OPENINGS

Classroom Therapist

Graduation from a recognized college or university with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Field. Master’s Degree preferred.  Undergraduate and graduate work in social work, counseling, or psychology is necessary.  One year of full time paid experience in mental health field preferably with behavioral and/or psychiatric orientation is necessary. Demonstrated capacity to develop further knowledge of casework principles, practices and methodology. Knowledge of individual and group behavior and the interrelationships between social, economic, psychological, and general physiological factors. Knowledge of current social, economic, and health problems and resources, with emphasis upon factors relating to physical and mental health of all age groups. Must successfully complete Safe Crisis Management training both physical and cognitive tests on an annual basis.

Child Care Supervisor

Bennet Group Home

Requires an Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university with three years of work experience with children or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and one year of work experience. One of these years must have been supervisory. Extensive knowledge of group and individual behavior, and interpersonal relationships between social, economic, psychological and physiological factors. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with those receiving services as well as professional colleagues and the general public. Ability to make both written and oral statements clearly. Knowledge of the basic principles of supervision.

Educational Aide

Minimum of high school diploma, A.A.S or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Must successfully complete Safe Crisis Management training both physical and cognitive tests on an annual basis, and Valid PA driver’s license. Previous experience working with adolescents required.

Resource Team Aide

Minimum of high school diploma, A.A.S or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Valid PA driver’s license. Previous experience working with adolescents.  Must successfully complete Safe Crisis Management training both physical and cognitive tests on an annual basis.

Support Staff

High school diploma, experience working in medical office, scheduling and familiarity with health insurances.

Special Education Teacher

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Permanent or provisional certification or eligibility for provisional certification by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Special Education. Knowledge of the principles of psychology and treatment techniques as it pertains to emotionally disturbed children/adolescents. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with emotionally disturbed children/adolescents. Ability to terminate relationships with these children/adolescents at the appropriate time. Ability to maintain effective relationships with other professionals on the inter-disciplinary team so that effective planning, progress reporting and decision making can be done. Must successfully complete Safe Crisis Management training both physical and cognitive tests on an annual basis.

Mental Health Professional

Licensed Master’s degree clinician with Family systems training and at least two or more years of experience in a CASSP system (employed by or under Children and Youth Services, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Special Education or Drug and Alcohol working with children), or employed by a licensed mental health services agency or subcontracted agency. Position requires a valid driver’s license and candidates for this position must pass Safe Crisis Management Training both physical and theory, upon hire and then annually as a condition of employment.

Residential Program Worker

High School Diploma or equivalency, or Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in undergraduate social work curriculum or course content with emphasis on sociology, psychology, and/or counseling. Considerable knowledge of individual and group behavior and interrelationships between social, economic, psychological and physiological factors. Must hold valid PA driver’s license with clear driving record. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Blended Case Manager

Bi-Lingual – A high school diploma and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other social science and two years experience in direct contact with mental health consumers

– A high school diploma and 5 years of mental health direct care experience in public or private human services with employment as a case management staff person prior to April 1, 1989

-Associates Degree or Bachelors in the social service/education/nursing field

Psychologist

One year of post-doctoral experience in the field of psychology; and a doctoral degree in the field of psychology or educational psychology, including a one-year internship or one year of equivalent supervised experience.  Two years of pre-doctoral experience at a level comparable to the Psychological Services may be substituted for the required year of post-doctoral experience.  Membership in appropriate national, state and local psychological associations. Licensure by the State of Pennsylvania is desirable. Minor in a related field such as speech therapy, remedial reading, disabilities, etc., and certification as a school psychologist is desirable. Thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of psychology involving testing, diagnostic evaluation and psychotherapy. Thorough knowledge of child and developmental psychology. Considerable knowledge of the application of psychology to individual and group behavior. Considerable knowledge of mental retardation, mental health, and mental illness, their symptoms, treatment and social implications.

Case Worker

Minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree in Human Service Field and two year experience working with emotionally disturbed children /adolescents. Knowledge of individual, group behavior and interrelationships with those families receiving program services, as well as with colleagues and the public at large. Ability to work effectively with people and inspire them to grow in constructive utilization of their individual capabilities. Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate case records, make clinical recommendations and to formulate service plans and goals.

Behavioral Health Worker

Bachelor’s degree in human service field (psychology, social work, sociology, education, or similar human service field) with two or more previous year work experience in a clinical setting.

 

PART TIME OPENINGS

Mobile Crisis Clinician

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field or Associates degree with 2 years direct care experience or HS Diploma with Three years direct care experience.  Ability to analyze situations and react in spontaneous manner to ensure proper disposition. Knowledge of MH laws, community resources, crisis intervention/stabilization techniques, diagnosis and therapeutic skills for assessment and treatment, and Communication skills to interface with providers/community and facilitate effective working relationship.

Part-Time  20 hours/week Evening/overnight

Mobile Therapist

Wilkes-Barre, Wyoming County, Columbia County

Master’s degree in Social Work; Psychology; Family Counseling; or Counseling and at least one year of experience in a CASSP system (employed by or under Children and Youth Services, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Special Education or Drug and Alcohol working with children), or employed by a licensed mental health services agency

Therapeutic Staff Support

Wilkes-Barre, Danville, Berwick, Tunkhannock, Hazleton, Scranton

Bachelor’s degree in human service field (psychology, social work, sociology, education, criminal justice or similar human service field) with no previous work experience; OR, Bachelor’s degree in any other field with the equivalent of one year of full-time paid work experience*

Associate’s Degree, or 60 credits toward a Bachelor’s Degree, with the equivalent of at least 3 years of full-time paid work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children and adolescents.

Positions require a valid PA driver’s license with good driving record, FBI Background, Criminal History, Child Abuse clearances.

** Must pass Safe Crisis Management Training both physical and theory, upon hire and then annually as a condition of employment.
